HAZMAT

Rescue Task Force

The St. Charles / Warren County Hazardous Material Response Team has its origins dating back to 1985. Membership is comprised of 35 specially-trained personnel. The geographic area served by the “Haz-Mat Team” encompasses St. Charles County and Warren County, Missouri. The St. Charles / Warren County Hazardous Material Response Team is one of 28 Homeland Security Response Teams in the State of Missouri.

Members on the Haz-Mat Team meet state and federal certification and training standards. Training is conducted on a monthly basis to maintain proficiency in chemical mitigation techniques, protective clothing, metering devices and response to weapons of mass destruction releases. Response equipment and vehicles are stationed throughout the two above counties to provide a balanced response.
